professional journey

a creative's resume

my professional journey is not your average journey.

I've always had a heart for the arts. Much like other creatives, I struggled to find an actual career route that fit me well during my late teen/early adult years. I was lucky enough to have a mentor pour into me and teach me about her tasks as a Creative Director at Renaissance Church. This opened many doors for me. I spent two years as a Marketing major with an emphasis in Graphic Design at Olivet Nazarene University. Though I put a pause on continuing my education to pursue hands on opportunities, I learned a lot both in and outside of the classroom at this institution. Throughout this time I took the initiative to volunteer at Renaissance Church assisting with various creative projects, Student Run Marketing Agency, and Marketing Club. I created career opportunities for myself by continuing to run my creative business and being employed as a photographer at Olivet. Since my time there, I have gained valuable experience by working in the career field as a Creative Director at Cass Concepts (marketing firm located in Decatur, IL) and then Renaissance (church located in Decatur, IL) while continuing to further my creative business and my education.

designing your world

I have been dabbling in graphic design for quite some time now. My previous job at Cass Concepts has allowed me to expand my graphic design portfolio by completing various design projects for all of the clients on the roster. At my current job at Renaissance church, I have completed a multitude of different design projects. Some of which include branding for our annual The One Thing series, production sheets, song lyrics for the LED wall which can be seen either in person or at a gathering online, announcements video graphics, pre service slides, social media, general branding bumper videos, our 1 John series, and print media for signage. Below are projects I have completed for Renaissance Church, clients at Cass Concepts, friends, and myself! Interested in letting me take a crack at illustrating your project?
